چکیده
The effects and treatment of malabsorption in childhood will obviously vary according to the nature and severity of the underlying cause, and the age of the child. This paper describes briefly the general nutritional effects with particular reference to coeliac disease, which is one of the most common causesof malabsorption in Western countries (Anderson, 1966), and discusses some of the types of treatment, both specific and non-specific, used in various malabsorptive states.
